FAQ

How do I submit a proposal or script to New Line?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept unsolicited screenplays or pitches. Our best advice to the aspiring screenwriter is to find an agent to represent you and your work. Please do not forward screenplays, pitches or other literary materials to us, as they will be returned without being reviewed. Your agent can present your screenplays to New Line and other studios.

How do I submit a finished film or a film-in-progress to New Line?

If you have a completed film or are already underway with production, we would be happy to receive an invitation to view your work. Please remember that we are unable to accept unsolicited screenplays or pitches, and that this e-mail address should be used only to invite us to view finished films or production in progress. Any unsolicited screenplays or pitches will be returned without being reviewed. You may email New Line to invite us to a screening of your film.

How can I submit a song to be considered for a New Line movie soundtrack?

Unfortunately we are unable to accept unsolicited music submissions.

How do I rent a New Line movie for my club, university, or group?

If you would like to show one of New Line's previous releases on campus, or in any other group setting, please contact Swank at 800-876-5577. They handle all non-theatrical showings of our movies on DVD, 16mm or 35mm. They will be able to discuss rental fees and answer any questions you might have related to showing our movies to your group.

When will a particular movie come out on VHS or DVD?

Most of our films come out on VHS and DVD between 6 and 12 months after the first theatrical release. We post video release information on all of our film sites on the day that the date is officially set. Please visit the site for the film you are interested about once a week so you can find the video information as soon as it's posted. You can also check our DVD pages for the latest information on new and upcoming Home Entertainment releases.

Still have a question?

If we haven't answered your question, or if you have a comment about one of our films, we'd love to hear from you. Please understand that due to the volume of e-mail we receive we can't respond to all e-mail inquiries, but we do read all the messages and appreciate your feedback. And please remember that we are unable to accept unsolicited screenplays or pitches. Any unsolicited screenplays or pitches will be returned without being reviewed. Email us with your comments.
