Signing up is easy -- and free! You will only be asked the minimum information necessary, and will not be required to enter your credit card information until you are ready to place your first bid. Please fill out the registration form as fully and carefully as you can. Be especially careful filling out your email address as this will be used as your primary method of contact. After you've signed up, just remember the username you create for yourself. An email containing a randomly generated password will automatically be sent to you. Once received, you will be able to log into your new account and change your password to something you are likely to remember. A special note to AOL members. Please remove all spaces from your username, and make sure to add @aol.com to the end of your e-mail address. So if your username is "new line fan" your e-mail address would be newlinefan@aol.com. Also, please make sure your mail filters are off or set to accept mail from newlineshop.com. For more information, go to the AOL keyword "mailcontrol" where you will find information on how to accept e-mail from us. All the tools you need to manage your New Line Cinema auction account are available from this area. You can modify your account information, review your bid history, keep track of your watch list and more. Listed below are all of the options available from My Account. Only those that pertain specifically to you will appear. Select this to update contact information including email address and company information, or to remove yourself from email notification. If you need to change the credit card information you originally entered, you may do that here. Check up on listings you've entered on your watch list and delete listings you no longer want to watch. Do a search to pull up all the bids you've ever made or to find one specific bid. This feature also allows you to increase active bids and shipping / payment preferences to be modified. Keep track of your entire bidding history from here. Click here to view any comments that have been posted about you and to post comments about other members. There are three ways to find what you're looking for. You can use the category tree, do a keyword search, or do an advanced search. The Category Tree - helps you quickly find the products that best fit your needs. When you click on a category on the Home Page, you will see a category specific page. For example, when you select the Original Props category, you will see a page showing all the items that were actually used in New Line Cinema films. There are other categories as well -- for original Wardrobe (costumes), publicity items, and more. The keyword search - works just like a search engine. Enter what you're looking for, and the engine will pull up every listing containing the keyword you entered in the title of the item. For fans of specific movies, you can use the "Search by Film" drop down list on the home page to quickly find all items being auctioned from a particular film. The advanced search - is particularly good for narrowing down your search. If you know exactly what you want, start here! Please note: All listings are in US dollars. This page updates a minimum of twice an hour. For the most current information, click on "bid history." High Bid: This displays the highest current bid, the bid that will win the auction if nobody beats that bid (assuming that the reserve price -- if any -- has been met). Reserve Price: The Reserve Price is higher than the Opening Bid amount and we use it on select higher-priced items, like original vehicles. If a Reserve Price has been set you will see either "reserve not met" or "reserve met" depending on whether the current bid price is above or below this. No. of Bids: This is the number of bids placed since the start of an auction. Click on "bid history" to see the time each was placed and for how much. Opening Bid: This is the starting bid (in US dollars). Bid Increment: You must add this much to the present winning bid to place a winning bid. Open Date: The date the auction first started. Close Date: This is the scheduled close date for this listing. All auctions close at 5PM ET on the date that they are scheduled to end. Quantity: This is the total number of units available in the listing. If we are offering five promotional lunch boxes during a single auction, the number in this field will be 5. Listing Number: The product can be identified with this number. The bid history shows how many people are bidding on the item you are interested in and how much people have bid.. Not quite ready to bid yet? Why not keep a watch list first to see how things go? Just click on the listing you're interested in and click on "Add to My Watch List." When you want to check up the products you are tracking, just go to "My Account" and click on your watch list to see how each listing is doing. Once you're more familiar with the auction process, jump in there and bid yourself! Strike first! The earlier you can get your bid in, the better since bids are time stamped. Bids win first by price, second by quantity purchased (if more than one is available) and third by time. Once you've reviewed the listing info, click on "bid now" to place your bid. A few of our auctions use reserve bidding. This means that we have reserved the right not to sell an item unless the bidding gets to a certain price, which is higher than the opening bid. The reserve price is not revealed. However, if the price gets above the reserve, you will see "reserve met" which means the item will be sold to the highest bidder. The next screen prompts you to enter bid-specific information including: Bid Quantity: This field only comes up when more than one item is up for auction. Enter the number of units you would like to bid on. Partial Win OK?: If you've bid on more than one of a product, would you be willing to accept fewer than you bid on? (If not, someone bidding on 1 unit could wipe out your bid of 20 units if the bid is just one increment higher). We recommend you say yes to this question. Max Bid: Enter the maximum amount you would like to pay for this item. This amount will be kept secret. Our automatic bidding software will take care of the rest. We will automatically enter the lowest possible winning bid for you, until you have won, or until you have reached the maximum amount. Confirm your bid: When you submit a bid you are shown a confirmation page. Check the information you entered to make sure the bid amount and quantity match what youre willing to pay if you win. If you want to change any part of your bid, simply use the back arrow button to return to the bid entry screen. Once you confirm a bid you will be shown your bid receipt. You can print it for your records, or view it electronically at anytime though My Account using the "Search for a specific bid" function. Note: After a bid is confirmed we are unable to cancel the bid. Please verify this is the product and bid price you want before confirming. When you enter your maximum bid amount, the automatic bidder will save you time by doing your bidding for you up to your specified, maximum amount. This maximum amount is totally confidential. No one will know what you entered. Here's how it works. After you enter you bid, no matter what it is, the next lowest possible increment is entered. If you are outbid, the next lowest possible bid increment will automatically be entered for you and continue like this until you win or until your maximum bid has been met. You will receive an email for every bid submitted for you. If your maximum is exceeded before you have won, you will be notified by email so that you may choose to continue the bidding manually. Note: Automatic bidding does not guarantee that you will win what you are bidding on. If other bids beat your maximum bid of if they are equal but were intitally placed before your first bid, you will not win. For this reason, it is a good idea to periodically check on the auction yourself, so that you may raise your maximum bid if you choose to do so. When an auction closes, the status of your bid changes from "Winning" or "Losing" to "Won" or "Lost". A "Winning" bid can become "Lost" if the reserve price was not met or if a last minute bidder outbids you and there isnt enough time for an email alert to reach you. You can always check your bids status by going to My Account and using the "Search for a specific bid" function. Pay for product won at Auction When an auction ends and you win the product, an email is sent to you confirming your bid amount and contact information. Your transaction will be processed and shipped to you within the time frame specified in this email.
