  LOS ANGELES, CA (February 5, 2007) – In a hysterical case of mistaken identity, the “Original King of Comedy,” Cedric the Entertainer (Be Cool, Barbershop), finds himself in a unusually messy situation as the action comedy Code Name: The Cleaner, sweeps onto DVD on April 24, 2007, from New Line Home Entertainment. Jake, a mild-mannered janitor, gets in over his head when he is duped into believing that he is an undercover agent who subconsciously holds a key piece of information that could expose an arms conspiracy involving the CIA and FBI. Lucy Liu (Domino, Charlie’s Angels) and Nicollette Sheridan (TV’s Desperate Housewives) co-star as the women Jake may or may not be entangled with romantically. Uncover the DVD’s special features, including the hilarious making-of featurette, “Moppin' Up with the Cleaning Crew.” Code Name: The Cleaner will be available at a $27.95 SRP with a March 20, 2007, order due date.
  Jake (Cedric the Entertainer) is a regular guy who wakes up in a hotel room with a bump on his head, a dead body in his bed and a briefcase containing $250,000 in cash in the room. As if that isn’t enough of a predicament, Jake can’t remember how he got there or even who he is. The beautiful and mysterious Diane (Sheridan) shows up on the scene, claiming to be his wife. Jake soon discovers that Diane is trying to drug him for information, and he escapes to seek refuge in a local diner. There, he meets Gina (Liu), a waitress claiming to be his girlfriend, who informs him that he is actually a janitorial worker for a video game manufacturer. Jake, though, is convinced that he is an undercover agent for the CIA – his code name: “The Cleaner” – and he sets out to prove it!
