Synopsis

A contemporary, urban retelling of the classic opera Carmen, this “hip hopera” follows the tragic life of Sgt. Derrick Hill (Mekhi Phifer, TV’s “ER”, Shaft, O) whose world is turned upside down when the irresistible Carmen Brown (Beyonce Knowles) enters his local bar. Through song, the star-studded cast tells the tale of their passionate romance and tragic demise.
